New Patients

At Rice Chiropractic and Wellness, the priority for every new patient is simple. Provide clear answers, create a plan that aligns with your goals, and give you multiple options so you can receive the best possible health care. From the first visit onward, the clinic focuses on helping patients understand what is happening in their bodies, what can be improved, and which steps are most likely to produce measurable results.

The new patient process is designed to be thorough, efficient, and centered on comfort. Patients are guided through each step so they know what to expect, why each evaluation is performed, and how their care plan is built.

Insurance Accepted

Rice Chiropractic and Wellness works with many major insurance providers. Coverage varies by plan, so the team will help review benefits and verify eligibility when possible.
Commonly accepted insurance includes:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem Blue Cross
  • Blue Shield
  • Blue Cross / Blue Shield
  • Kaiser
  • United Healthcare
  • Cigna

If a patient does not see their plan listed, the clinic can still review options and explain what is available. In many cases, out-of-network coverage may apply depending on the plan.

Payment Options

Rice Chiropractic and Wellness works with both insurance and self-pay patients.

For patients using insurance, payment is due at the time of service. This typically includes any applicable copayments, coinsurance, or deductible amounts as required by the patient’s plan. The clinic’s team can help clarify expected costs to avoid surprises.

For self-pay patients, the clinic offers multiple options to keep care accessible and predictable. Payment arrangements are tailored to the care plan, the patient’s needs, and the recommended frequency of visits. The objective is to make it practical for patients to follow through with care, not delay treatment due to uncertainty around cost.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

The first appointment is structured to gather detailed information and build a strong clinical baseline. This is not a quick in-and-out visit. It is a comprehensive evaluation designed to identify contributing factors, measure functional issues, and guide the next steps.

A new patient’s first visit typically includes:

  • A detailed consultation
  • A thorough examination based on the patient’s symptoms, history, and goals
  • A digital posture evaluation to identify alignment patterns and structural stress
  • A NASA technology muscle scan to evaluate muscle activity and areas of imbalance

This first visit helps the provider understand both the symptoms and the underlying drivers that may be contributing to them. It also provides objective data to track progress over time.

Pre-Registration

To make the first visit more productive and to reduce time spent on paperwork, new patient forms are sent once the first appointment is scheduled.

Patients should print and complete the forms in advance, then bring them to the first visit. This allows the appointment to focus on the evaluation, answers to questions, and the plan moving forward, rather than on administrative tasks.

If a patient is unable to print the forms, the clinic can usually provide an alternative option upon request, but completing paperwork in advance is strongly encouraged for the smoothest experience.
